Salad dressings

Tomato salad dressing...22 calories, 1 gram
carbohydrate, 0 protein, 2 grams fat per tbsp.

1    pkg. old fashioned french dressing mix
1 1/2 cups tomato juice
1/4  cup malt vinegar
1/4  cup salad oil

     Empty contents of package of mix into a
screwtop quart size jarr.  Add remaining
ingredients, cover and shake well.  Makes
2 cups.

Piquant salad dressing...17 calories, 1 gram
carbohydrate, 1 gram protein, 1 gram fat per tbsp.

1/2  tsp. powdered mustard
1/4  tsp. seasoned salt
1/2  tsp. celery salt
1    tbsp. flour
1/2  cup non-fat milk
1    egg yolk, beaten
3    tbsp. vinegar
     dash of monosodium glutamate
     few drops artificial sweetener

     In top of double broiler, mix seasonings
and flour.  Add milk and cook over boiling
water, stirring until thickened.  Stir in egg
yolk and cook for 1 minute longer, stirring.
Remove from heat and stir in vinegar and
sweetener.  Cool, chill.  Makes 2/3 cup.
